Khawatir, bingung, kesel, gregetan...

Aghna sulit sekali makannya..
terkadang untuk menghabiskan semangkuk kecil pure yg aku buat bisa menghabiskan waktu 1 jam..
bahkan 3 hari terakhir ini, dia hanya menghabiskan setengahnya..

Hiks.. hiks.. hampir satu bulan terakhir berat badannya tidak naik lagi..
berhenti di timbangan 8kg..

Aku mulai khawatir akan kesehatannya..
Gregetan sekali saat memberikan makanan,
mimik mukanya cemberut.. dan mengunci mulutnya...

Dalam artikel yg aku baca, sepertinya itu bukanlah suatu hal untuk dipanikkan..

'SUSAH MAKAN'

Pertama-tama, jangan panik. Tidak mungkin anak sengaja membuat dirinya kelaparan. Ingat, pertambahan berat anak kecil maksimal adalah 2 kg (sekitar 4 1/2 lb) setahun. Karena itu janganlah terkejut apabila dia tidak mau makan 3 kali sehari secara normal.

Pertimbangkanlah saran-saran berikut ini agar jam makan menjadi lebih menyenangkan:

- Pastikan anak anda tidak mengkonsumsi jus terlampau banyak. Terlalu banyak jus membuat perut penuh dan menurunkan selera makan sehingga tidak cukup tempat untuk makanan bergizi. Bila anak merasa haus, berikan dia air minum.

- Hidangkan daging, telur, dan keju dalam porsi kecil yang menarik. Jangan berharap anak menyantap habis seluruh hidangan.

- Coba hidangkan sayur mentah (hindari sayur yang sulit dikunyah, wortel misalnya); banyak anak lebih menyukainya ketimbang sayur yang dimasak.

- Jangan memberikan pilihan lain ketika anak menolak apa yang dihidangkan di depannya. Kalau anak lapar, dia akan menyantapnya pada jam makan berikutnya.

- Satu jam makan cukup 30 menit saja. Walau makannya tidak banyak, hentikanlah tanpa sikap emosional.

- Jangan jadikan makanan pencuci mulut sebagai umpan atau hadiah karena mau makan. Apabila pencuci mulut memang bagian dari menu, jangan paksa dia mengosongkan piringnya dulu. Berdasarkan penelitian, membujuk atau mengumpan agar anak mau makan seringkali akibatnya malah berlawanan dengan tujuan dan anak justru makan lebih sedikit ketimbang dibiarkan sendirian.

- Jangan mengganti makanan dengan suplemen multivitamin dan mineral; berikanlah sesuai dosis yang dianjurkan ahli kesehatan anda.

- Ingat, tanggung-jawab anda adalah memberikan ragam makanan yang bergizi seimbang. Tanggung-jawab anak adalah memutuskan berapa banyak yang dikonsumsi.

And the final one -- Author  and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to  judge.

The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring  child.

The winner was a  four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who  had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the  old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.  

When his  Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy  said,
 

"Nothing, I just helped him cry"
